This commercial was my first time wearing the title of “Visual Effects Supervisor.” This spot was created in post production over about two months between Jackson Seal and myself through Dynamite Picture Company for Focus Brands.
The creative prompt of this commercial was to display the “enormity” of the flavors one experience’s when eating a Schlotsky’s flatbread, which is represented by making it seem as if the food itself was as large as a mountain.

What might stand out is the role of “puppetry,” but as an on-set supervisor I accepted more responsibility, more roles, and more problems to solve personally.

This video explores the depth of my contributions to this project. It was certainly a learning experience, having been my first time as a supervisor. I did the best I could, including creating a jiggly vellum Mozzarella blob being cut by an originally modeled, animated, and textured CG knife when the footage we captured on set didn’t quite cut it for the creative directors.
